25 febbraio Little UpdateWe're back in the good ol' USA and here to stay. Though we're both unemployed, we still seem to fill our days running here and there with different people.
I have the doctor situation under control for now. As long as we don't move anywhere far before the baby is born, I have my doctor and coverage. I met her at an appointment for Ashley who by the way is super cute with her basketball belly! She has 6 weeks left and I'm now 16 weeks. My belly is ever growing and as a nurse had casually mentioned, a little too quickly. Oh well. Food is good and the baby is happy :) I have my one allowed sonogram scheduled for March 28th which should tell us the sex of baby should baby decide to cooperate this time.
We've both applied for unemployment but I do't htink I'll be receiving any because of my "quitting" status at the studio. In all defense, I kinda had to. My sponsor and husband left the country making me an illegal alien in their country since I had been there for longer than my allowed 3 months on a passport. Justin should be getting it though. However after seeing the amount, a job is a much better route.
And now I'm out of time again and have to run! 13 febbraio 14 week PicsGood news! I used the scanner at work today and got the new sonograms on disc! We're also out of the apartment now too. We have internet in our Private Suite at the Bamberg Inn though so it's not as bad as I thought it'd be. Usually its a shared bath room, but this is cozy! We had almost $200 in damages we had to pay for our crappy wooden floors that warped when we had Max (potty training) and cleaned them with too strong of cleaner. Oh well. Could have been worse. They didn't charge us for the giant hole in the wall that Max chewed! Almost done here. Sigh... Here's our little "peach" (That how big it was last week, this week is the size of a fist!) 12 febbraio We're Having A...baby! Yep, the baby pulled an Ashley's baby trick. It's Daddy's little baby... Justin couldn't come to my appointment today because of an award he was receiving. I think the baby knew he wasn't there and wanted Daddy to be there too when we found out the baby's sex. The baby was all balled up with it's legs crossed and upside down making it difficult to get between the legs. When we finally could see between, it put it's hand in the way! Urgh! So who knows when we'll actually know the sex. I did get to see my baby in 4D though! It was so neat! The bone structure hasn't formed all the way on the head and you could see the big gap. You could also see all 10 fingers and toes! How neat! My test results from the 1st trimester screening came back "as good as possible." Our odds of having a baby with a disability went from 1 in 1,000 to 10,000. It was still a good visit even though we must keep waiting. By the way, we no longer have a telephone or scanner. So no phone calls unless you call my cell, and no baby pictures until we come home! 08 febbraio Hit and RunYup. It's a daily thing. Me and the microwave. Justin thinks I've read too many books and tells me I'll believe anything I read, but when it comes to baby's safety, I'll take the crazy risk.
I use the microwave daily at home and at work. Both microwaves are sitting right at baby bump level on the counter. All the electric waves are getting zapped into my baby when I hover over it watching it melt the cheese on my pasta. Then again, maybe it's really not. To be safe I hit the start button and run to the dining room and peek my head over at the microwave to see how long is left or if anything is exploding. Silly me, yes! Sometimes if it's just a few seconds I'll open the fridge door and stand behind that to block any waves! Pregnancy makes you do strange things.
Oh! And yes, I've tried many different things to try and determine the sex of my baby already. I've tied string to our wedding rings and watched it move as I held it over my stomach and then watch it do nothing for Justin when he holds it. The only problem with this is that I've read both circles and lines to be boy and girl. I've done the thread and needle over the wrist--3 kids for me! I've done the Chinese prediction calendar which is supposed to be 99% effective (they got Ashley's wrong) and it says girl. I've tried reading up on palmistry and reading the lines in my palms to see if they're deep (boys) or shallow (girls). I have two deep and one shallow, but it doesn't tell me which one is first. While explaining this to a co-worker they told me to make my hand into a fist and look at the lines between the two creases by your pinky and palm. The lines between there will tell you how many kids you're having. (3 again!) I've tried reading up on morning sickness and the probability of having one sex over the other based on how sick you are during the pregnancy. Turns out to be ineffective because different people regulate the hormone differently. My doctor told me about a 100 Euro test I could take that was 99.9% correct by taking the mother's blood. Eh. I'll wait a few more weeks... Oh, the agony!
I had another strange baby dream last night. It was Ashley's baby this time. I finally got to see her 7 month belly and was so disappointed because everyone kept saying how huge she was and really she was still small. (Prolly cause I can't picture her big without actually seeing it!) Anyway, as she lifted her shirt, I saw the baby imprinted through the skin on the right side of her belly! It was so creepy! Her skin was like opaque plastic wrap draped over the baby. I could see it curled up in there. Then all the sudden she's holding the real baby and comparing it to the imprint on her stomach. Ugh... The worst part was when the doctor showed up and told her the baby had to go back in until it was ready and it had to go back in through her mouth. Ew, how creepy! I swear, pregnancy makes you crazy when awake AND asleep!
Happy Birthday to Justin today! The big 22! Wait, is he born here yet since we're 7 hours ahead? Hmm... 05 febbraio Baby DreamI had such a vivid dream about my baby last night! I've been wanting to dream it's face since I found out I was pregnant. Well in the dream everything was in black and white. I guess it was a peak into the womb like a sonogram except I could see clearly. Baby turned it's head and looked right at me and just smiled. Of course, the baby looked about 4 months old already. The most beautiful baby ever! I could tell by the facial features it was a GIRL! Then I looked at the rest of the body and saw that it was a BOY! My mind is playing tricks on me! What kind of sign is that? Perhaps that I really have no idea what I'm having. One week left for our next sonogram!

Things are going well in our apartment. As well as they can I suppose. Brandy lent me some more dishes so I could make actual eggs in a skillet! I miss my computer. Justin hogs his playing WOW all day and night long. I'm still working at the CAC getting the new photographer trained. And... that' about it for now because I'm hungry, go figure. :) 01 febbraio EmptyOur poor little apartment is naked. Yesterday the movers came and took all our stuff! We have 3 pieces of luggage with clothes and personal items. Some of you already know that we were denied any additional furniture until the 2nd because of some funding problem. Go figure! But I've had many friends reach out and offer to help us in any way possible. A co-worker lent me a bunch of blankets, towels, and an air mattress which is doubling as a couch until Friday. I kept one pot to cook macaroni and cheese in, but found myself craving eggs this morning! So into the pot my eggs went and burnt! It wasn't exactly the best pot, which is why I didn't mind tossing it after we're done here, an probably why the eggs burnt. Flipping them with a spoon was challenging too! I'm just trying to put on my camping hat and forget that I'm actually in my apartment. We do still have internet and phone. Heaven forbid should Justin not be able to play WOW. We also have a 220V TV left that we're trying to sell so we're able to watch TV. We had a person interested in the car last night. I'm hoping he calls back tonight with good news about him selling his other car to buy ours. The car is beginning to stress me out. If we don't sell it by the 15th, then what?! It's not a bad car and I keep going back and forth about shipping it home since it hasn't sold so close to our leaving date. I realize someone could sell it for us, but I'd hate for them to be stuck with the burden of our car should it not sell for them either. Our window is closing quickly if want to ship it though, so lets pray it sells!

Also, it's February 1st! Happy 3 year anniversary to me and Justin! Here I am thinking our story is so unique, but I've met so many military wives with very similar stories. I guess it's just the thing to do in the military!

AND, Bambi found out she is having a baby girl! I can't beleve it! If you haven't heard my aunt's theory, she believes that in our family we have a pattern of having girls and then boys. So if this is true, I should be having a girl too as well as the next 2 people to be pregnant in my family! Then it will move to boys. She made her prediction before Ashley found out she was having girl. I'm so excited, I just can't wait for the 12th! Pink thoughts, pink thoughts! |
